Kirby's Klub Logo.jpg

An at home learning children’s show that would target preschool aged children.

Kirby (an child sized adolescent frog puppet), his Mom (an adult sized puppet), and a human Coach, will take Tadpoles (mini hand puppets) on adventures on which they will encourage Home Viewers to participate in physical activities, imaginative play, arts, crafts, and music projects, to foster Strength, Self-esteem, and Success.

While the human coaches are there to introduce the tadpoles concepts about growing up in our human world, Mom is often imparting the wisdom of Mother Earth and the animal kingdom to the coaches.

Typical Episode

1.  Set Up: Prior to the start of each episode, there will be a LIVE COACH who gives a quick explanation for caregivers that explains WHAT the kids will need to participate in the episode. They should monitor the child during class, and remind them that the more they participate, the more their child will as well.

2. Warm Up: The theme song both welcomes and warms up the viewers physically. Kirby always tells the viewers they have to stay on their lily pads the whole episode. On screen, each character will be on a lily pad too that either floats down the river or flies through the sky depending on the theme that week.

3. Strength: Coach will instruct viewers through a new skill of the week and encourage repetition of said skill in a fun way (usually involving game or a song) as well as some fun body movements that mimic conditioning. At the end of this section, Kirby will ask the kids to demonstrate what was worked on to their caregiver and remind them what he’s looking for with each skill. If they have it, they can move on to the next episode’s strength chapter. If not, they’ll be encouraged to “Watch this part of of the episode again!”

4. Self-Esteem: Kirby, being an animal still connected to Mother Earth, gives Coach Sam a unique perspective on how to help the tadpoles through new emotional or social challenges (fear of new baby coming, dealing with jealousy, not conforming to one’s gender, etc.)

5. Success: Kirby’s mom calls everyone inside to do a craft. Viewers will be guided through a simple yet fun craft of the week. Once completed, everyone uses the craft to help process the challenges faced by the characters in the episode. The viewers will use THEIR crafted item to participate from home.

6. Goodbye/Hook: Kirby and the gang wish everyone at home a goodbye via song, but usually a surprise happens to hook the viewers in for the next episode.

7. Homework: Each episode ends with the same LIVE COACH from the beginning who talks with the viewers again and presents  a color page explaining that if they color and submit back to us, they might see it in the next episode (like trees, flowers, buildings, etc). They will also  encourage viewers to submit videos of the kids doing their skills at home (to either add to episodes or post to social media)
